The art of shipbuilding is synonymous with the Bangladeshi industry. The latest entrant in the ever-expanding product line of T. K. Group of Industries is T. K. Shipyard Limited honors that very tradition. The company has started its journey on July 27, 2010 with 10 shares for the group and 1 share each for Engineer Syed Md. Monzur Hossain and Engineer A. A. R. Shahriar under Companies Act 1994.
The shipyard mainly manufactures various marine vessels like oceangoing vessels, tankers, bulk, coaster vessels, cruise ships, tugboats, jetty, fishing boats, workboats, houseboats, pontoons etc. The group’s pursuit for excellence ensures the high standards of the vessels and guarantees the clients of superior products. At T. K. Shipyard Ltd., every vessel is hand built to perfection.
With approximately 6 acres of land by the river Meghna and 10 more acres by the river Karnaphuli, T. K. Shipyard Ltd. is currently working on 3 projects. As of December 2010, the shipyard is working on 3 workboats and 3 houseboats for Pacific Marine Ltd., 2 pontoons for Radiant Marine Design and Shipbuilders and 2 workboats and 2 houseboats for Aqua Marine Dredging Ltd. The shipyard hopes to work with foreign clients in the near future and help the national economy by producing world-class marine vessels.
