T K Group donates 20 ventilators to 5 Ctg hospitals

T K Group has handed over 20 ventilator machines to five hospitals in Chattogram for treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The hospitals are: Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Chattogram General Hospital, Chattogram Field Hospital, Parkview Hospital and Surgiscope Hospital.

T K Group’s Managing Director Mohammad Abul Kalam took this initiative during this pandemic situation as a part of their social responsibility.

Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Elius Hussain handed over the ventilators to the hospitals’ representatives as the chief guest at an event held in this regard at the port city’s Circuit House today, according to a press release.

With the number of Covid-19 cases on the rise, the hospitals will be able to serve the critical patients better with the ventilators by providing emergency medical support in a bid to mitigate the outbreak.

“During this global pandemic, Bangladesh urgently needs to ensure the necessary ventilator support for critical patients at hospitals. Ventilator is an important medical equipment for treatment of Covid-19 patients who are in critical condition. From this point of view, T K group took the initiative to provide ventilators to the hospitals treating Covid-19 patients in the port city,” the press release read.

As a leading corporate group, T K Group, which always plays a vital role during the crisis period of this country, has extended its hand to provide support to the people through its different initiatives, it added.

Mohammad Mofassel Haque, marketing director of T K Group, presided over the occasion, while Civil Surgeon of Chattogram Dr Shaikh Fazle Rabbi and Raozan Upazila Chairman Ehsanul Karim Chowdhury (Babul) were present as special guests.

Senior officials from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Chattogram, the hospitals’ representatives, and T K Group’s officials were also present at the event.
